At
Good Samaritan Living Center, we pride ourselves on providing the highest
quality nursing facility care for seniors. We strive to meet and exceed their
needs, as well as the needs of their families. Our well-trained and
compassionate staff work hard to make our residents feel at home, whether it is
through the services we provide, the interaction we have, or the time we spend
with each individual.
Good
Samaritan Living Center is a not-for-profit, Christian facility founded by the
ministers and laity of the 3rd District of the Bogue Chitto
Missionary Baptist Association in 1987. Open to all denominations, the
employees of this 84 bed facility are committed to the total care of our
residents – not just their physical wellbeing, but their emotional and spiritual
needs as well.
We fully
believe in the healing power of modern medicine, but we also believe in the
therapeutic value of a gentle touch, a kind word and a prayer. At Good
Samaritan Living Center we provide professional healthcare in a warm, loving and
clean environment.
Good Samaritan is located in
beautiful Franklinton, Louisiana, a small town of just under 4,000
people. A peaceful town with a slow pace, mild climate and ultra
low crime rate, Franklinton is the host of the famous Washington
Parish Free Fair, one of the largest and longest running county
fairs in the United States.
Located over 140 miles North of the
mouth of the Mississippi River, Franklinton is far enough inland to
be considered safe from most hurricanes. As our address (on Hilltop
Avenue) indicates, we are situated on the top of a hill over 25 feet
above the rest of the community so flooding has never been an
issue.
We are close enough to the Gulf to
enjoy beautiful subtropical weather, but far enough inland to be
safe from almost anything the Gulf throws our way.
